It is no secret but rather a great opportunity that we continue to grow each day as individuals, a team, and an organization. Our Funding partnerships with other departments remains a pillar to our success in providing the best possible mobility solutions to the Clients we care so very much about. A current example of this would be our partners in Payer Relations providing a strategy to help us navigate UPD updates more effectively. With so many payers, so many locations and lots of teammates finding a better way to communicate these changes has become critical. No one likes finding out about a document requirement change after it has gone live so through opportunity, a solution was born!
The new process for communicating UPD document changes is simple but effective. Whether the change request is coming from a payer relations ticket or a result of a UPD audit the flow is the same. Payer Relations teammates will verify the change request against the payer’s provider manual and/or contacting the payer directly to ensure the change is validated prior to being applied. Once they have confirmed the change is a valid request a ticket is sent to the corresponding funding leaders to review. This ticket includes the proposed changes as well as a list of open orders that will be impacted. We have the chance to provide any necessary feedback, prep our teams for the change and determine the go live date of the update. Again, simple but effective; possible only through great collaboration and teamwork. Growing together is succeeding together!
