As we near the end of 2023 and begin reflecting on all the year has been including the highs, the lows, triumphs and challenges. Personally, I find it important to learn from the lows and challenges in an effort to set myself and those around me up for a better year ahead. The goal is always to make the path ahead brighter. I think there will be a lot of that this year as it is no secret we have had more than our fair share of challenges and changes to navigate in 2023. However, in the words of H. Jackson Brown Jr. “Let Perseverance be your engine and hope be your fuel”. The South has proved this year we have no shortage of either.
While learning from our opportunities is so valuable, I believe it is even more important to celebrate and embrace the many ways those challenges have helped us grow. We have been able to work back to providing better care to our clients, stabilizing our daily activities, develop our UPD, add teammates, add leaders, start on system enhancements to make the process easier for our team and much more. We have learned so much about one another and what we are really made of. I am so thankful for the opportunity to have led this group through 2023. The South accepted me with open arms despite having an amazing leader previously; that alone let me know from the start this group of remarkable individuals would answer the call without hesitation. Nothing has stopped you from serving one another and our clients. Not only have you pressed forward in challenging times but you have been instrumental in planning our future as we build out a new landscape in funding. Thank You seems hardly enough to express the gratitude I have for every effort put forth by this Team. I do Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season ahead doing all the things that bring you happiness. Eat the cookies, spend time with those you love, enjoy the season for all that it is and most importantly acknowledge the amazing feats you have tackled this year and celebrate them! Happy Holidays Everyone! Here is to continuing our mission into 2024 serving all those we have the privilege to call teammates and clients! – Katie Kielburger

As we round the corner to close out the final days of this year, I wanted to take a few moments to reflect on what a blessing it has been to walk this journey with you.  This year has been filled with many challenges, but you have faced every challenge with tremendous determination and resilience.   It makes me incredibly proud to walk along side of you every day.  NSM is very fortunate to have such an amazing, compassionate, empathetic group of individuals that show up every day to spread good fortune to those we are privileged to serve. It’s rare that we get to “physically” see the results of our hard work, but I hope you know that you play a significant role in putting smiles on client faces.  Many thanks for all your outstanding efforts.   My wish for you is that your holiday be filled with love, happiness, good health, and many memorable moments.  I hope that it is the best one ever!   Let your ambitions guide you towards success in the coming year.   I cannot wait to see what 2024 has in store for this dynamic team.  Cheers! ~Angela Burgess

Greetings and Happy Holliday’s to the funding team!
Wow, what a year! There have been massive curve balls, fast balls and knuckle balls thrown our way this year, and it has taken a lot of grit, determination and will power from many functional teams to continue to perform. When I look back at our challenges, I am at awe of what each and every one of you has done to try and navigate the adversity. Our funding team is such a pivotal part of our process, and I appreciate each and everyone of you for digging in and working so hard for our clients and being such a client caring group to get orders through the system. One would think the further you get away from actually being face to face with a client, you may lose touch on the human touch part of what we do, and our funding team continues to work with HEARTS with our clients in mind. Success is not measured when things are going well, but how we adapt and handle adversity, and I couldn’t be happier to partner with this funding team to go through a year like we have together. Big, Big, Big thank you from the Mid Central Team on your efforts this year and we could not have maintained the level of performance we have in 2023 without you! Cheers! -Matt Guy

Happy Holidays Funding Team!
I want to thank you all for your efforts this year. It has been an incredibly challenging year for you, and yet you continue to persevere and deliver exceptional performance.
Someone once said, “behind ever good man is a great woman”. Personally, I couldn’t agree more. As a play on that phrase I’d say “behind every successful ATP is a great Funding support person”. Every successful ATP fully understands your value, I (and all RAD’s) see the difference you make each day, and it’s never been more obvious than this year.
You improve the lives of so many folks with special needs and their families because you are relentless in your pursuit of an Approval. Someone is able to sit at the dinner table with their family, help their child get dressed, attend a holiday event, or maybe independently use the bathroom in a dignified way due in part to your efforts. You also help ATPs make a living, and you help NSM make a profit and stay in business.
Thank you for the difference you make each day. I appreciate you very much! 😊 –John Phillips

Hello Funding Team of the Year.  I just want to take a minute to look back at this year in funding.  The first two things that come to mind are food and glue.  Why food and glue?
First, I meet with the funding leaders every Tuesday morning and we almost always start out with a food discussion.  Favorite foods, recipes, corn bread, peanut butter sandwiches dipped in chili, (Pure Michigan), coffee from New Mexico, Peeps, you name it, we’ve discussed it!  Most recently, we found out that Amy’s dog’s favorite food is couch!  Cracking myself up……. Couldn’t resist.
I had to mention this because everyone needs a laugh after being beat up everyday and coming back for more.  And really, who dips peanut butter sandwiches in chili????
Now on to the glue.  The North Funding Team has been the glue throughout this year and we can’t thank you enough.  It hasn’t been easy, but you are all game changers for our clients and ATP’s.  You were dealt a hand and made the best of it, while getting beat up everyday from the field team, customers and clinicians.
I would personally like to thank you all for your partnership and supporting the field team and changing lives by helping others gain their freedom and independence.  Thank you all!
Happy Holidays to you and your family, we appreciate you.
Warmest regards,
Grant Moore
PS: Thank you all for being patient with my WO requests  😉

Funding Rock Stars, It goes without saying that this has certainly been one of our most challenging years in my 20 year history with NSM and this burden was largely carried by this Team. The operations Team has always said that we need 2 things to be successful, Orders and Funding. Yes, we have to get the orders first and foremost, but if we can’t get them funded all other efforts are for not. This makes orders the gas and funding the engine that drives the business. The way you have all carried the business, the challenges and yourselves personally though the last 8 months has certainly not gone without notice. Your drive and commitment to keep the business going and serve the clients that so desperately need what we do is truly commendable, honorable and humbling to me personally. I am very much honored to be able to serve alongside each and every one of you every day and can’t express my gratitude enough for hanging in there through these incredibly tough times to make us the success we STILL are today. On behalf of the SoPac Team and myself I thank you all for everything you do and wish you and your families and incredibly blessed holiday season. Robert Geiss, Regional Area Director- South Pacific
