NSM Revenue Cycle Team Focused on Enhancements with Goal of Positive Client Outcomes
 
NSM's Revenue Cycle has been focused on enhancements and opportunities to improve client outcomes and collection efforts with enhancements to our Deferrals, MIRs, and client responsibility process.
 
In August, we launched the following system enhancements:
Deferral Category for Supplemental/Crossovers – Launched the ability to select the proper deferral reason for Supplemental/Crossover payers which allows us to better focus on other key deferral reasons form our payers in order to improve deferral rates and client outcomes.
MIR Category/Definition Update -  Better defined MIR categories and definitions were created to clearly reflect MIR reasons and improve our ability to track, trend, and prevent MIRs.

MIR Queue Enhancements – Added filtering, sorting, and more to improve organization and prioritization to the MIR Queue in an effort to improve efficiency for our specialists in resolving MIRs.

Coming Soon: Client Responsibility Process Enhancements
Based on feedback from our clients and teammates, we are in the process of creating system enhancements that will help support improved communication and collection of Client Responsibility. These enhancements are expected to tentatively launch near the close of the year. Be on the lookout for an update closer to our go live date!  Here are a few highlights of what we expect this enhancement to include:
  • Separates our current process for Client Responsibility into two very clear steps: Communication and Collection
  • Creates automation requiring both client communication and client responsibility collection when MA identifies there is an estimated client balance due.
  • Moves all information related to Client Responsibility for an order from the individual Payer tab to the Summary Screen where all other information regarding Client Responsibility is housed today.
