NSM Managers
Preventing Discrimination & Harassment: V5.1 (65 min.)

Like their employees, managers first learn what harassment and discrimination are, the personal dynamics that can lead to misconduct, what bystanders can do and should do when they see misconduct, and the why building positive team dynamics is so important. In addition, managers go on to learn about their special duties as leaders and how they can work with employees to avoid problems and create a respectful, lawful work environment.

NSM Employees
Preventing Discrimination & Harassment: V5.1 (45 min.)

This course helps employees understand what harassment and discrimination are and the impact they have on teams, organizations and people. Using interactive video scenarios and common-sense language, it goes beyond textbook definitions to show employees the personal dynamics that can lead to misconduct, what bystanders can do and should do when they see misconduct, and the why building positive team dynamics is so important.

State Specific Requirements

Please be advised that several states have unique laws surrounding harassment. While the courses above will satisfy most states, employees who work in the City of Chicago will be required to comply with Municipal Code Sec. 6-10-020. This ordinance requires employees to review and “attest” comprehension on the following documentation:

1. Sexual Harassment Prevention for Employees
2. Sexual Harassment Prevention for Managers
3. Bystander Intervention Training for both managers and employees
