Empower Retirement (formerly Prudential) will experience a platform upgrade starting on October 24. There will be a “quiet period” from October 18 – 23. If you’re planning to make any changes to your account this month, please do so no later than October 17.
 
During this time your information will transfer over from the existing account (Prudential) to the new platform (Empower). This includes all demographic data, contribution levels, investment allocations, loan information, and beneficiaries. No action is required on your part for the transfer. However, the system will be temporarily unavailable during this short time for contribution changes, new loan requests, and investment allocation adjustments.
 
Starting October 24, visit empowermyretirement.com or download the new Empower app. Follow the steps below the first time you login and visit the new platform. 

• Click on Register.
• Choose I do not have a PIN.
• Follow the prompts to create a username and password. You will need to enter all of the following:
  • Your Social Security number
  • Your zip code
  • Your last name (If your name has a suffix such as Jr. or III please include it.)
  • Your date of birth
• The next time you access your account, simply choose Sign in.

 
Again, during the time your account is upgraded, there will be a short period during which transactions will not be available. As soon as the upgrade is complete, you will be able to request transactions once you register on the empowermyretirement.com website.
