Important Benefits (US Employees)- Updated 12/19
Important Benefits Updates! (For US Employees Only)
Updated Information as of 12/19/23

As we close out 2023, we wanted to take a moment and provide an update on the 2024 benefits rolling out soon. If you have enrolled in these plans, please take the time to read the applicable sections below. Feel free to contact the Benefits Team at benefits@nsm-seating.com with any questions or concerns.

Delta Dental Premium Holiday (updated 12/19/23)
NSM employees who currently participate in the 2023 Delta Dental of TN Plan are not paying a dental premium the last 2 payrolls of 2023.  This one-time “premium holiday” for plan participants applies to the pay dates of 12/15/2023 and 12/29/2023.  Please keep in mind that Dental premiums are deducted on a pre-tax basis, thus lowering your tax liability and increasing your net pay.  Since these premiums won’t be collected, the savings amount will be included in your pay as taxable income. Individual tax scenarios may vary.

ID Cards (updated 12/19/23)
Medical – BlueCross BlueShield ID cards are being mailed to members the week of December 18th, with an expected arrival date of January 1st. Please note that ID card packaging could be mistaken for junk mail, as the packaging tends to be non-descriptive. Starting this week, be on the lookout for your card(s) to arrive. Starting January 1st, we encourage you to register on the BCBS website and download the mobile application. Digital ID cards are available on those platforms. More information is currently posted on the HR Department page on WNSM and will also be sent in upcoming communications.

Kaiser ID cards will be generated for new members and enrollees with a change in demographic information and/or plan type. Current Kaiser members who have had an ID card generated of the same plan type within the last 13 months will not receive a new card.

Dental & Vision – Delta Dental of TN and EyeMed will only be sending ID cards to members who have elected coverage for the first time. If you need a replacement card, these can be found online and via the carrier's mobile applications. Please see the HR Department page on WNSM for more information.

FSA – HSABank is the new administrator for our Flexible Spending Accounts. All participants will receive a new card which is expected to arrive in early January. Please note that current FSA cards, managed by UMR, will no longer continue to work after December 31st. We will have a grace period of 2 ½ months to continue and spend down that 2023 balance. However, those claims will need to be submitted directly to UMR via the online portal for reimbursement.

Please note: For employees who have elected both an HSA and a Limited Purpose FSA for 2024, the funds for both accounts will be loaded onto the same card. More details will be communicated later in the month and again in early January.

Health Savings Account Cards & Transition
BCBS HSA Participants – For BCBS members, we will continue to partner with HSABank. However, everyone will be receiving new account numbers and new debit cards. Please continue to use your current HSABank debit card until further notification. We anticipate the account transition to take place in mid-January, at which time your current card will deactivate and your balance will transfer to the new account and new card. New cards will not have a balance until that transition in mid-January. More details will be communicated later in the month and again in early January.

Kaiser HSA Participants – For Kaiser HSA participants, there are no changes to your account. A new card will not be generated unless your current card has expired. Otherwise, continue to use your current HSA debit card.
