NSM Leaders Celebrate Their Teams on Employee Appreciation Day
Employee Appreciation Day is celebrated on the first Friday of March every year and it is dedicated to recognizing and honoring employees. Leaders across the organization made their employees feel appreciated and celebrated with personalized notes, lunches and more. Be sure to check out how some of our leaders celebrated their employees below and keep your photos and stories coming to Feedback@nsm-seating.com

We had a great turn out today! Everyone loved Olive Garden!  Since the majority of our staff work remotely on Fridays, we postponed the Employee Appreciation lunch to today! - Renee Moses, Branch Services Manager, Chattanooga HQ

Payer Relations team members are virtual so we were able to make them “goody bags” and mail them to their home. We provided them homemade cookies baked fresh by Michelle with a message of “Chip Chip Horray! We appreciate your hard work every day”,  popcorn that had a message of “Just Poppin’ by to say Thank you” , and a bag of sour candy with a message that read “ This team would be sour without you”. - Stephanie Williamson, Payer Relations Senior Manager

Here at Branch 004, Houston, we set up tables for our Friday “Huddle” and sat to have a light breakfast. We had pens and Sticky Notes that had a variety of thankful, inspiring, and gratitude sayings for our employees. All was set up before we met for our huddle. We also went around with our question of the day, as we do in all our Friday huddles. The question of the day was “what do we appreciate most about the team we work with”?  We got answers that really showed how close we are as a team, as a family. We looked back at the ups and downs we had last year and the hard work paid off by being awarded Branch of the Year for our region. Made us all realize we are part of something special here. - Tommy Aleman, Technician Supervisor, Houston, TX

I did hand written thank you notes and getting lunch for my in branch staff ❤️ - Cindy Forrett, General Manager, Hayward, CA

Here at Branch 187, it just so happened to be our monthly branch meeting. We had an extended meeting and 90% of our staff was on hand so we had a branch lunch together. Was nice for some of us to catch up and discuss family and upcoming events. We also had some time to brainstorm and techs talked about issues and troubleshooting tips. - Harry Caldwell, Operations Supervisor, Owings Mill, MD

In Chicopee #065, we celebrated today, Monday, as opposed to Friday. People dread coming into work on a Monday so we tried to make a happier start to the week. With the crazy schedules and travel of the ATP and techs in/out of the branch we had an assortment of breakfast options from sandwiches, pop-tarts, inscrutable, and sunny D to chips, peanuts, cookies, cup cakes, apples, and ice-cream. We even had plenty of gum to have nice minty breath. - William Lafreniere, General Manager, Chicopee, MA

At branch 57, a sales representative and I held a breakfast for the staff.  In addition, the rep gave an in-service for the technicians to help achieve their 10-hour course requirements. - David Vinti, Operations Supervisor, Buffalo, NY

For employee appreciation day all the techs, CSS’s and OMs were able to eat lunch together with no work talk or interruptions. We talked and laughed and had the best chicken and corn bread! Unfortunately  the ATPs were in clinics and unable to join us. - Caroline Petillo, Operations Supervisor, Wall Township, NJ

On Friday we started the morning off with our monthly employee meeting and also provided cake for the birthdays that happened during the month of February.  We also went around the room and had each person tell one good thing about working here and also a new goal for themselves for this new year.  We then provided a BBQ lunch for all employees here at the branch by having everyone scheduled to be back at the shop during this lunch period so that we could just eat and mingle and forget about the day to day work for about an hour. - Lucas Sumrall, Branch Manager, Tulsa, OK

For employee appreciation day, we went to lunch as a team at one of our favorite local Turkish restaurants, Turkish Delight. - Wayne Gould, Branch Manager, Anchorage, AK

Branch 272 and 174 celebrated with a gift card and a handwritten note to each individual employee thanking them personally for there time and dedication. - Monica Forte, General Manager, Burlington, VT

To celebrate my employees, I wrote each of my Team Members a personal note letting them know how much I appreciated their service and dedication to our clients and that we are so happy to have them as part of our Team. We also went out for a nice lunch outside of the office. It was a great way to get away and simply Chilax for a bit. I do not have any pictures. - Brian Marshall, Branch Manager, Bakersfield, CA

Here at branch 131, we had a nice lunch by Famous Dave’s BBQ! For my on road drivers on that day, I had them expense their lunches through Navan so they also had a meal provided by us! Everyone was happy and left work with full bellies. Chris Spielman, Operations Manager, Roslyn, CA

To celebrate my employees, we had a special lunch/dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Longhorn. We also had a guessing game to see who could guess the correct amount of candy in a jar. The winner, Christopher Lamb, received a $25.00 Amazon gift card.

Additionally, I wrote a personalized Thank You card to each of my employees and also gave them each an Amazon gift card.
- David Falls, Operations Supervisor, Charleston, WV

I am certain that our celebration appears benign when I say “lunch”  We celebrated on both the 6th and 7th to ensure that all were included.  The key point in each celebration was time spent together putting work aside and enhancing personal relationships.

We shared hobbies outside of work, escapades of children, grandchildren, pets, and travel suggestions before returning to the tasks at hand. It was a great time!
- Michael Ervin, General Manager, Cleveland, OH

We celebrated with an employee breakfast and the staff was given a gift to thank them for their teamwork. - Kristin O'Neill, General Manager, Parma, OH

Before my employees arrived for the day, I placed personalized thank you cards that expressed what a great job they do and how much I appreciated them at each of their desks. They were really happy! - Jacky Christian, General Manager, Temple, TX

The Chicago, IL branch celebrated with a breakfast, complete with an appreciation goody bag!
