During our upcoming open enrollment, employees enrolling in an NSM medical plan will be asked to attest to their Tobacco use status. Your response to the attestation will determine if you will have to pay the tobacco surcharge with your 2025 medical insurance premiums.
 
Open enrollment will begin in late October of 2024 for our 2025 benefit year. To avoid a smoking surcharge in 2025, you must complete the coaching courses by the end of open enrollment. Smoking cessation programs are offered through BCBS and Kaiser medical plans. Click here to learn more about the surcharge and the programs offered.
