Entering Into the Fourth Quarter

NSM Leaders (Director Level & Above, Branch Managers, General Managers and Office Administrators):

It is hard to believe that we’re already entering the last quarter of the year. Despite our challenges, we are in an excellent position to close out a successful year.  I am so grateful for each of you, who selflessly serve our teams each day.  Through this year’s changes you were a steady hand, a constant source of encouragement, and the trusted source for information. Thank you for all you do to positively impact our employees and clients;  you make a difference!

We are now entering our Benefits Open Enrollment season, which is an important time of year for your teams.  Communicating the details of enrolling in benefits, such as health care, shows how much you care for each individual. You want to make sure your employees are covered and taken care, ensuring they are not missing out on any important benefit changes for next year.

Open Enrollment is right around the corner, launching October 25 – November 10. In August, we announced our 2024 new healthcare benefits provider, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and a new life and disability provider, Voya. All full-time NSM employees must complete the enrollment process via a new online enrollment portal or scheduled phone sessions.

Our ask of you today is to encourage your employees to log into UKG and verify that their personal information (phone number and address) is up to date as we will be emailing, texting and mailing Open Enrollment information to them during the enrollment process. Also, please accept one of the Open Enrollment manager training session invitations on Tuesday, October 10 or Wednesday, October 11. If you did not receive an invite, please email benefits@nsm-seating.com. If you are unable to attend, there will be a recording available.

Please review the below information for more details. It is important to read the information in its entirety and share all of the important information with your teams. As always, the HR Team is here to support you. If you have any questions or feedback, please send to this month’s Leader Brief at feedback@nsm-seating.com.

Let’s keep moving together!

Help Encourage 100% Completion of NSM Technician 10-Hour Log & Competency Assessment
The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) require Technicians to complete at least 10-hours of continuing education specific to rehabilitative technology annually. Despite the September 29 deadline that has now passed, only 30% of NSM technicians have completed the 10-hour log. Additionally, NSM requires all technicians (new and existing) to complete an annual competency assessment. So far only 55% of technicians have completed an assessment.
