NSM’s New-Hire Orientation (NHO) program launched enhancements on March 3 to further improve the new-hire experience. Below we’ve outlined what you need to know and how it impacts you when onboarding your new hire.

What changed as of March 3?

1. Orientation was moved from Mondays to Tuesdays.

2. The orientation was shortened into two sessions. See the revised schedule below.



3. IT setup for new hires will be offered every Monday from 1-2 PM CST for group instruction. IT will remain available from 2-4 PM CST in the form of “Office Hours” for users who need additional assistance.

4. In lieu of Monday’s orientation, managers are encouraged to offer their new hires a “Red Carpet” experience. To assist with this step, we have a created a checklist of activities that promote a positive first impression of our organization attached in this email.
 

What You Need to Know

1. New hire orientation and IT invites will continue to go out the Friday before.

2. New-hire orientation will continue to take the last week of the month off.

3. IT set up will run every Monday regardless of new-hire orientation.

4.Technician and CSS Training Academies will remain unchanged and will continue to offer the following schedules:

• CSS Academies: Wednesday and Thursday, the first and third week of the month.
  01:30 PM CST – 3:30 PM CST
• Technician Academies: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the first week of the month.
  10:30 AM CST – 4:00 PM CST
