Increased Employer Match for all 401(k) participants!
- Effective January 1, 2025, NSM will increase the employer match from $.25 to $.35 for every $1.00 contributed up to 6% of eligible earnings. This represents a 40% increase to the company match.
- Remember that your 401k contribution rate can be changed at any time. Information on how to adjust your contribution rate can be found on our 401k page on WNSM.
Introduction of FEDlogic for All Benefits Eligible Employees
Are you or your spouse newly eligible for Medicare? Have you ever wondered if you or a family member qualifies for state or federal benefits?
We understand that navigating the process to determine eligibility or apply for these benefits can be time-consuming and complicated. FEDlogic is a new, free, and confidential service that helps navigate and maximize any federal and state benefits for which you or your family members may qualify. The FEDlogic team offers unlimited assistance with Medicare, Medicaid, Healthcare.gov, Social Security, and many more federal and state program applications, as well as any questions surrounding these benefits. For more information visit our FEDlogic page on WNSM.
NEW! Medical Premium Tiers for Medical Plan Participants
- For the 2025 plan year, NSM will continue to offer medical coverage with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS). The Kaiser medical plan will continue to be available to our employees in California. All plan designs remain the same to include deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums, and plan coverage. The only exception is our Buy-Up High Deductible Plan, which will have an increase of $100 to the individual deductible so the plan can remain an IRS-qualified High Deductible plan.
- NSM has not been immune to rising healthcare and pharmacy costs. NSM has been impacted by unusually high medical claims over the past 18 months, and you will see a modest increase in pre-tax premiums in 2025. To help ease the cost share burden, NSM is moving to differentiated premiums based on employee compensation. Starting in 2025 we will implement two tiers for medical premiums. There will be one premium tier for those with salaries of $59,999 and under. There will be a second premium tier for employees earning $60,000 and more per year, and all employees in Sales positions (ATPs, RTS, Access Sales).
NEW! Allstate Benefits Group Whole Life with Long-Term Care
Long-term care insurance is designed to help cover the costs of extended care, such as in-home healthcare, assisted living, or a nursing home. A significant number of seniors will need this type of care at some point. Having a group whole life policy with long-term care can help to protect your retirement savings and support your caregivers in the future. This new whole-life policy includes an accelerated death benefit for long-term care, complete with restoration of benefits and extension of benefits. Click here for a video to learn more. This new offering has a guaranteed issue of $150k for employees. No medical questionnaire will be required if you enroll during your initial enrollment period. Rates are locked in based on your age as of the coverage effective date and are guaranteed to never increase.
