HSA Bank - 2025 Employer Match

NSM will continue to match up to $550 annually in employer contributions to your Health Savings Account (HSA) for the 2025 benefits plan year. Due to system limitations, we can no longer manage the dollar-for-dollar matching contributions per paycheck. However, there will be employer contributions every payroll, and there will be a quarterly catch up for those participants who have contributed at least $550 by the end of that quarter.

See the attached HSA Match FAQ document to view several examples of how the new match will pay out based on your contribution level.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I'm logging in to my account and see a balance of $0.00? Where are my contributions?
A: As of January 2024, we transitioned to new HSA Bank accounts associated with our new BCBS of TN medical plans. If you are actively making contributions and see a $0 balance, then you are likely logging in to the old account. Please see the job aid listed above in the section on "Accessing Your Account" for assistance with creating a new account username and password.

Q: How can I tell the difference between my old card and my new card?
A: The old card will have a more recent expiration date. For example, if I have one card with an expiration of 12/2025 and one card with an expiration of 12/2027, then the card that expires in 2027 is the one I should keep. I can discard the card with the 2025 expiration date. In addition, the new card has "HSA Bank BCBS TN" at the bottom.

Q: I have an automatic payment set up with my current account. Will that transition over?
A: No. If you have automatic payment set up on a reoccurring basis, you’ll want to register with the new account number and set up that automatic payment to start from the new account on or after January 16th. You should also stop any automatic payments from the old account that would pull after January 11th.
